We have two different kiln sizes available. Please include a photo of your pieces, as well as a photo of your clay bag or glaze package, as this will indicate the required firing temperature. Please let me know when you would like to schedule a kiln firing slot, and I’ll make the necessary arrangements for you! :)

Kiln Details

We have two kilns in our studio: a 16L and a 60L Nabertherm top-loading electric kiln.

Prices

From £12-£90, £12 is the minimum charge. 

Final pricing is subject to review by the studio technical team based on the number of pieces, shelf space, and loading considerations.

PLEASE READ

We do not do raw firing; everything must be bisque-fired first. We do not fire the work that includes organic material like plastic, wood or excessive plant matter in a ceramic kiln due to fire/explosion risks

Payment Terms
1.1 All kiln hire fees must be paid in full before the commencement of the firing.
1.2 No firing will be undertaken until payment is received and confirmed.
Kiln Program
2.1 Clients are required to provide a clear and accurate kiln program for the firing. (We do have default settings for bisque fire and glaze fire)
2.2 It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the program is appropriate for the materials and work being fired.
Liability and Responsibility
3.1 The client acknowledges that kiln firing carries inherent risks, and I accept no responsibility for any damage, defects, or failures in the work fired, including cracking, warping, melting, or other issues.
3.2 While every effort will be made to follow the provided kiln program, I do not guarantee specific outcomes.
Kiln Damage
4.1 Any damage to the kiln or associated equipment caused by the client’s materials, improper programming, or any other factor related to the firing will be the client’s responsibility.
4.2 The client will be required to cover the full cost of repairs or replacements before collecting their work. (kiln shelf £30, kiln stilts £5, extra cleaning £8).
Collection of Work
5.1 Fired work will only be released once any outstanding charges, including kiln damage fees (if applicable), have been settled in full.
5.2 Any work left uncollected for more than 30 days may incur storage fees or be disposed of at my discretion.
Agreement
By proceeding with the kiln hire, the client agrees to these terms and conditions in full. If you have any questions or require clarification, please contact me in advance of making your booking.
